Extra Provincial Registration
If you are incorporated in a jurisdiction other than Quebec or Ontario, and are commencing business in those provinces, you are required to register your corporation within the first 60 days.
In Ontario this is called an Extra-Provincial Registration and in Quebec a “Déclaration d’immatriculation”.
This is not for sole proprietors or partnerships, but for CORPORATIONS ONLY, and applies only to Federal or provincially chartered companies and not those from the United States or abroad. Registration is mandatory in the provinces where you will set up offices.
